All about our Wedding

2007, Seven years of knowing each other, full of trials, adjustments and happiness that leads to the aisle...

We always wanted to get married in church but we are waiting for the right time and the right money for it. Now, we have come to the planning and preparations for the so called Big Day!

On our wedding, an event that took more than a year to put together, with a tight budget we planned the event ahead from big to its small details. We have decided a fairy theme wedding, a combination of fairies, butterflies and magical things. The colors that dominate the event are green, yellow and tangerine.

How We Met

We have met on the middle moth of 1999, both in our third year college. Mel a transferee from the University of Perpetual Help Rizal, Las Pinas and me a working student at Collegio Dela Immaculada Concepcion dela Concordia. We have been classmates in Rizal Life and Works and constantly meeting at the school hallway.

Funny and corny as it seems but we really begin our so called "love life" through exchanging letters, me thanking him for being so warm and understanding. We never thought that something would come out on that exchange of letters but we know that right from the start that God has a purpose for us to met on that unexpected place... and we will both cherish the good times we have spent together...

Prelude to the Wedding

Because we have a tight budget, we have to come up to a solution in which we need to accomplish things little by little. Such as a small amount deposited for the wedding dress, for the cake, for the photo and video, for the reception and for may others.

Bride:
For a princess fairy look, I choose a ball gown design which i and Mel saw on a bridal magazine. Melba Ayao of JMA's bridal shop created it into a beautiful wedding gown , just what i have dream of.

It is made of bridal satin, off white with rhinestones. A curve-skimming top and a sweeping skirt with a semi-cathedral train measuring 75 centimeters.

The veil was a sheer/illusion with scattered rhinestones. The bolero on the other hand is made of organza with rhinestones and beads.

Beauty
Every bride always wanted to have a beautiful and glamorous face, i opt to stand on the basic, simple but mesmerizing.

Flowers:
My thoroughly feminine bouquet is a collection of orange gerbera daisies, yellow calla lily, american yellow roses, aster and different leaves, hand tied and created by Christine.

Perfume
Although it can't be seen but as girls we are known to be very sensitive on our smell. For this big day i used my favorite, "Beyond Paradise" by Estee Lauder.

Groom

Custom Tailored Americana and black pants.

Church:
Naga Metropolitan Cathedral/ Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist - Mel was always fascinated on the architectural structure of this church. An old church but with a beautiful interior designs. It is one of the most impressive stone churches in Bicol, the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral is the seat of the Archdiocese of Nueva Caceres. Nueva Caceres the old name of Naga City.

The 400-year old cathedral has an impressive baroque architechure with its two large belfries attached to its sides.

Reception

Villa Magdalena Hall-Crown Hotel, Naga City

Wedding Cake
Loleng Silot of Lallee's bakeshop created our beautiful cake. Because I wanted a different, modern and extraordinary, I chose this cake, just like what i have seen in the internet.

Photography
Dannets Video & Neps, a local photographer - After the wedding, only one thing will left, memories. These precious moments are meant to be shared and passed on to the next generation.

Our Message:

More than one year in the making and finally our wedding day has arrived. What a busy day, very memorable, full of surprises and filled with love and miracles. We offer all of this to our Lord God and dedicate this to our families, friends, relatives and all the other people who made our wedding a success. Thank you for celebrating with us, thank you so much for your prayers and thank you for giving a pary of your time in exploring this labor of love.
