Grabe, puyat na naman ako.

Before, wala akong interes sa face book but then when i learned about the games from SP thread, naku super laro na ako. Nakaka hook talaga at parang ayaw ko ng bitawan. The bad thing lang eh talagang puyat na puyat ako, mabuti nalang at wala pa si hubby dahil kung nagkataon lagot na naman ako. Add nyo naman ako sis para maging neighbors tayo. he he he.
here's my add: melandriaromero@gmail.com or just find my name nalang ria romero... Ang dami ko rin palang kapangalan kaya look for my picture na din... See you there.....

Daddy and Justice on Wheels

Justice on wheels was formally launched on May, 2004 and barely four months after its approval, the mobile court or more commonly known as Justice on Wheels first make its wave to help juveniles. It's main purpose is to expedite hearing and accommodate detention prisoners who wanted to plead guilty and eventually released prisoners who already served their sentences and qualified to go because there is no legal impediments.

Last June 13, 2009 Justice on wheels goes to Legazpi City, Albay giving free medical and dental clinic and legal aid. Chief Justice Reynato S. Puno personally led officials of the Supreme Court and Philippine Judicial Academy in bringing Justice on Wheels to the Albay people. Even though we missed Daddy because of his long absence, i am very proud of him for being one of the key person on this Justice on Wheels-Albay project. He was able to go to different cities around the province to have mediation proceedings. Being in the service for four years, i am happy when I see that true justice is really served, fair and just.

Havaianas

I was really thinking to make a review of this item. i really love my havaianas, it was really very comfortable to wear and it was worth buying. You can wear this on your favorite jeans, shorts or even dress. If you are looking for flip flops you should not missed this one. It also offers different styles to choose from, there are for men, for women and for your kids too. Its designs were really unique and really eye catching. Although as of the moment i only have two havaianas, i really valued them. It was really indeed the world best rubber sandal. As a matter of fact, i am also planning to buy one for my little baby. I know she will enjoy this new flip flops of her because she also loves wearing her slippers.

Comfty and stylish
Advantages: comfortable, worth buying

A Woman of Substance
Magnificent, a spellbinding saga in life
Advantages: truly captivating, can boost your will
Disadvantages: none

A bestselling book by Barbara Taylor-Bradford, A woman of substance is a spellbinding saga in life that will instill within your heart, the will and drive to succeed. This is the first of the six novels about Emma Harte and her family, among others are Hold the Dream, To be the Best, Emma's Secret, Unexpected Blessings and Just Rewards. A Woman of Substance is really one of the best novel that i have read. It was really captivating and enthralling story every woman should read. Her drive to succeed in her life is truly remarkable and the pain that she have gone through was also her strength to survive and enable her to build an empire. It is my habit to make a review of the books i have read and like and my review for this book which i have written on it's back page is this; "God given us all the finest things in life ... yet we alone are the holder of our own destiny. BTB (Barbara Taylor-Bradford) a name i would never forget. She is an author that brought back my self esteem and my will to go on with my dreams.

The Duchess
Passionate, captivating, emotional

This movie is based on the best selling biography of Amanda Foreman's of the 18th century english aristocrat Georgina Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire who lives a extravagant political and personal life. She is very beautiful on her own way that makes her well loved by many people around her. She became a fashion icon and a doting mother to her children. She was also deeply involved on the political programs at her time. But she was in fact very unhappy with her personal life, marrying an older man which her family choose for her. A man that doesn't know how to show real love for her and eventually finds a mistress who was also her friend. With this circumstances she eventually fall in love with Earl Charles Grey, an ambitious rising politician which she begot a daughter who was later on named after her.
Keira Knightley who portrays the role of the duchess makes a very promising performance.

Naga City " Ang Maogmang lugar"

As I was reading the different blogs, I was inspired to create my own entry about our place. It was my Mel's hometown but still i consider it my second home. It was not as glamorous and lively as Malate, the place where i grew up but people here are known for their hospitality and warmth . They have a vibrant culture which can be seen on different festivities and on the month of September, Naga City celebrates the country's most popular and biggest Marian devotion, the Penafrancia fiesta where different marian devotees from local and international were present to renew their vows to Ina.

How to get here:

From Manila, it takes an eight (8) hour ride via the Maharlika highway through aircon buses stationed at Pasay, Cubao, and Muntinlupa terminals. By plane, it takes only 45 minutes flight from Manila, served two times daily by Air Philippines, Cebu Pacific and Zest Air.

Where to Stay:

Here are my personal choice of best hotels in the City

Several national heroes and patriots including Jose Maria Panganiban, Tomas Arejola, and Jorge Barlin had walked the corridors of this brick and tile structure. It underwent renovations but has retained its distinct colonial style and ambiance. On January, 29, 1988, it was declared by the National Historical Institute as a National Historical Landmark.

Raul S. Roco Library

Named after the beloved Bicolano statesman, this public library is home to over 30, 000 book titles besides being a hub to online access to other libraries in the country. It houses the memorabilia of the late Sen. Raul S. Roco, and the Naga City Hall of Fame, where the various plaques and trophies representing international, national, and local awards received by the city government are displayed.

Built in 1985, this bigger shrine was constructed for Ina, the Virgin of Peñafrancia, to accommodate increasing number of pilgrims and devotees that come from as far as Ilocos, Mindanao, and overseas.

Palawan Escapades

May 9 to 16, 2009

It's really been a dream for me and Mel to go to Palawan. It has many first for peachy and a very unforgettable experience for our family. Our arrival on puerto princesa's airport was greeted by an unexpected heavy rain which was really very unusual considering that there are no announcement of any typhoon or rains. Luckily the sky was clear on the following day .

On Mother's Day we celebrate the day with a City Tour, visiting the crocodile farm, butterfly garden where the entrance fee was for 20 pesos, We saw different butterflies but peachy was not quite happy about it. We also went to Baker's hill where delicious hopia was very affordable. They had a variety of delicious breads and cakes to choose from at very affordable price. It was already getting dark, that's why we were not able to go to Mitra Ranch. We end the night by eating at "mang inasal" where people eat their chicken inasal using their hands and had a chance to eat rice as many as you like.

The next day was all excitement, we went island hopping, this is the best experience we had. Our first hop is Pandan Island because that is the nearest, " I think" , it was called pandan island because there are many pandan trees. Next hop is our Snake island where we really planned to stay for lunch time, we first take a swim and this is the first time i have experience snorkeling. I saw various corals and many different fishes. It was really an amazing experience for me. Thank you for the internet for the information, we really brought many breads for the fishes. Next hop is Senorita island, it was a very small island and was owned by the Dos Palmas, we are lucky that we were allowed to dock to their beautiful island and to take some pictures, for us to remember them. There is also starfish island, it was called by it's name because many starfish can be found there. On our way home, we passed by on the different island. Some of them were still uninhabited and some were privately owned. We also passed by on a mysterious island "Luli" (lulubog-lilitaw), the island is a privately owned and was currently under renovation.

May 14-16, 2009

We planned to go to Port Barton where great beaches can be found but it's another long ride and we were worried about Peachy's health so we decided instead to visit and check-in to this resort we saw in the internet and it turned out that the place was really beautiful. Dangkalan Resort and Inn has the best service with their friendly staff and good amenities.

Puerto Princesa is a city with many things to offer. There are many places to visit and the time was not enough for us to visit all of them. We decided not to go to the Underground River for two reasons. Although we already had our permit to go, we learned that there is an ongoing hike for life and the place was so crowded with many hikers coming from different places, another thing is that we were a bit worried about the safety of Peachy, because we could not bring her inside the cave, we will just leave her on the sea shore and i have big doubts over the idea of leaving her.

The place offers fresh and great tasting foods, inexpensive sea foods. Dining is really great in this place of town. We are so thankful that God gave us sunny days to enjoy this vacation. We are looking forward of going back there again.

Discover the beautiful island of Palawan and see for yourself the amazing wonders. I hope this can help you:
How to get there:

Air Travel from Manila to Puerto Princesa takes just less than an hour and available daily via Cebu Pacific, Air Philippines and Philippine Airlines. There is also Zest Air but i am not sure if they have daily flights.

Shipping Lines: It takes 18 to 22 hours from Manila on board the Superferry and Negros Navigation. Superferry only travels once a week.

Travel Tips: Light casual wear is best in touring the city but when your going island hopping and underground river tour a short and a sandal is a must. You must come in handy, don't forget your insect repellent, cause there is really many mosquitoes especially on remote areas, there is also many "nik-nik" as they called it in the bay area. Make sure to bring your camera's to capture your best moments and the beauty of the sights.

Don'ts :

Puerto Princesa is most cleanest city that i have been gone to and they are very strict about cleanliest. Do not litter just anywhere or else you will be caught by Bantay Puerto employees. Smoking in trimobiles is also prohibited. You can see many of this:
