Iceland Volcanic Eruption

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

I just heard of it last week when the afternoon news at QTV announce that thousands of flight passengers  were stranded among Europe because of the recent volcanic eruption from Iceland.

That's when I started asking, what? when?

Eyjafjallajokull is the fifth largest volcano in Iceland and the last time this volcano erupted was on 1820. Could you imagine that? It's about 200 years since it's last eruption. News informed that more than 450 people were evacuated.  I have not heard any casualties, so maybe there was none.  I do hope that there was none.  The recent news regarding earthquakes and this volcanic eruption was really devastating.  Many lives were lost and many people survived without any remaining properties. It was a very sad and tragic event but still we must not lose hope for a better tomorrow.
