Naga City Bridal Fair

Last Friday we went to SM Naga City to buy some groceries for our little one and we chanced upon to see this bridal fair.  I always love wedding, it brought smile in my lips every time i looked at a beautiful wedding dress.  Hubby once told me that i can be a great wedding coordinator and he even encourage me to fulfill it if we have enough money to start the business. 

I have always a keen eyes in terms of wedding details.   Although, i believe that there is no such perfect wedding,  even if it is grand or just a small one, what makes the difference is the love both the groom and her bride have for each other.  But then if you have that extra money to spend, then spend it in your own liking, after all  just as they say, it will only happen once in your life (unless if your fate designs you to be married more than once).

A new Journey to motherhood

So, the much awaited question is answered and yes, this might be the cause of why i am always sleepy and too tired even if i have not done anything. I have been missing posts, blog hopping  and occasional chitchats with my FB and Blogger Friends. I am too lazy to join online contest and  neglecting  to harvest my farmville farm. I have been dying to eat blueberry cheesecake only after eating it wanting to throw it out of my stomach. I have never been too lazy just until now and sometimes would not like to look at the mirror to see my pimples because even if I cure them, they still keep on coming back.

This is another chapter in my life, I could not consider a milestone yet but praying and hoping that the Good Lord will protect us both and we will be cuddling another adorable baby in our arms. I am ecstatic to learn the good news but also worried and somehow a little bit frightened because of my previous experiences. 

My ob-gyne says that it was too small yet that she could not feel it  but yes the snapkit would not lie (two snapkit actually) and the good news, a bed rest or leave at work is not needed unless you know what but i am hoping that it will not come to that. 

I have been there, agony of pains and frustrations and loss and i would not want to look back at it because it only give me misery, heartaches and worries. What i am looking forward is a happy life, fruitful and a healthy offspring.  This was indeed my new journey to motherhood, so if i missed visiting your blog do forgive and bear with me, blame it to my laziness. LOL. But i am hoping that you will still visit me from time to time and leave a comment or two and it will surely make my day lovelier and happy.

Blogging and Earning Online

When I started this blog two years ago, i never meant or think that i will be earning from it.  I just wanted to have an outlet or channel of my various thoughts and experiences. It started with a simple post weeks within weeks and then later on I could not last a day not looking at my blog. 

My Journey to Life is my first blog and it was on blogger platform and although many had encouraged me to change it to wordpress but for some sentimental reason, i choose to remain it this way.  

Then, i have met several bloggers who encouraged me to join blogging contest and yes, you bet, Ia certified contest junkie, I find myself joining several blogging contest that eventually lead on winning some of them. 

One day, a friend of mine suggested to me to monetize my blogs. Why not? I could earn some dollars (yes, you bet, we are talking dollars here) just by blogging and posting the things i wanted. It's really easy as one , two, three. Some of my other blogger friends earn as much as Php. 100K a month (could you believe that?) Some of them earns more than they earn from their previous jobs (call center) that's why they chose to just stay at home and focus with their budding career on blogging and come to think of it, you can still focus on being a hands-on mom too. (But that is too far for me, I enjoy my work and I consider blogging as a hobby).

But earning money online is not really that very easy. It takes perseverance, patience and more luck. I am happy that two of my blogs are already earning money online but still there are months of waiting for another opps to come.  Days of frustrations and dismay and still no opps came but honestly I never thought I could make it this far, so look at the brighter side, i am enjoying what i do and in the same time, i am earning additional bucks to at least add to our allowance.

Kraft Cheez Whiz Palamantasan Regional Elimination - Region V

When I first learned that there will be another event that will be happening here in Naga City, i immediately made a text message to Ms. Jannete Toral and she mentioned that a blogger is needed to become a judge in  Kraft Cheez Whiz Palamantasan. I am so excited about it and readily agreed.  Ms. Sam of Geisler Maclang ,  (one of the biggest PR company in the country ) contacted me and advised me to coordinate with Ms. Bambi Mercado their coordinator for this Region V project.

I first learned about Palamantasan at Boy Kuripot's blog and i found it really interesting. This project aims to educate elementary students on the benefits of good nutrition.  It's a good feeling to be a part of this great advocate and it brings wonderful memory of my childhood specially my elementary days wherein I used to join different competition like this.   

The event is supposed to start at 8:00 in the morning but was not able to do so because some of the participants are not yet present.  I was greeted by Ms. Bambi the field coordinator for this Regional Elimination event and was also surprised to know that she's from Naga City too.

The Naga City Central School Pavilion I is already jam packed with participants from different schools vying and determined to win the first place after all the winning contestant will be receiving Php. 8,000 and the couch, Php. 3,000 and for the school another Php. 3,000 but not that all,  the chance to represent their school in the Grand Finals that will be held in Manila this coming September.  

Kraft Cheez Whiz Palamantasan has five different contest categories. These are jarchitecture, On the Spot Essay Writing Contest, Sandwich Art Competition, Sabayang Bigkasan and Cheering Competition. 

I was assigned to judge On the Spot Essay Writing Competition Contest.  Could you believe that? I never imagined myself being a judge of a contest like this. I remember the time that i was once a participant and it really gives me goose bumps but just as you are thinking, my heart is really jumping in joy and i can feel the tension in the room wherein the eleven (11) participants from different schools tried their best to answer the question in not more than 200 words in a time pressure of one (1) hour. 

But one hour is more than enough specially if your heart is burning with enthusiasm and drive to win the award. 

All the students are really talented but we really needed to make our choice.  It's really a tough decision specially when you have more than one bet by giving a very wise and good answer in this question, " Why do you think bread fill or "palaman" is more important than junk foods or chichiria?  So, what answer come  up in your mind? And because we are confined in a room, a little miles away from the pavilion, i was not able to see the other presentation such as the sabayang bigkasan, that's why, I have no pictures to show to you too.  (But don't fret and worry, because i am working it out, I will be going to the official photographer and asked/request him to share with me some of the pictures for posting purposes.)
