Beach Vacation Houses

I have heard a friend of mine just came in town for a month of vacation and she brings along with her a visitor.  She was asking if i could find her something like Outer Banks Rental , affordable and beautiful houses near the beach to rent while they were in town. Although I know some  places and resorts for rents but they were already fully occupied so I suggest that she  browsed some internet sites where she can find something that will interest her. 

Summer is really a time to visit nearby beaches, enjoy the warmth of the sun and play along the sea side shores with your love ones. This is the time I really enjoy because i can create beautiful memories with my family, something worth cherishing.

Thoughts of Beauty

I'm not a beauty expert that's why when someone ask me for a beauty tips , i could not promise that i can give a really good advice.  Although I so love beauty products and everything beautiful, my taste could not easily pass as an expert on this field.   I do remember that I was once an ugly duckling, i have no idea on how to put any make-up and how to look pretty.  

I remember my high-school years, i prefer bobcat hair styles rather than the long one.  I would rather wear jeans and t-shirts than blouse or skirts that's why every year during Santacruzan, i would decline and say a big no when someone asks if i could join the Santacruzan because I'm not confident enough and could not consider myself beautiful. 

But things really do change like the seasons of time, the once ugly duckling who loves jeans and shirts and always wear rubber shoes with a tomboy attitude look up in the mirror one day wanting more than she saw and that's the time that my interest on beauty products begin and short hairs is just a history.

Cetaphil - cleanser for all type of skin

Have you tried this product? 

We first learned about Cetaphil when it was introduced by Peachy's Pedia, although we used Physiogel before but the price is more higher so we made a switched to Cetaphil.  Cetaphil is a gentle cleanser that is great for your baby's skin and not just for baby but also for adults.  I have heard a friend who used Cetaphil on her face and you would guess the result, a healthy, young looking skin. 

It is clinically proven to be mild, fragrance free and less irritating than Dove bar (ooh sorry but that was what it says) but i believe it is really mild because i have been a dove user since then too. Unlike other soap, it's completely non-alkaline, non-comedogenic, and fragrance free that's why it helps the skin to retain the needed moisture. 

So, if your having a problem with your skin and still using soap, why not try this product and see for yourself the result.

Summer where are you?

It's supposed to be summer now but i could not find Mr. Sun.  He must be lonely right now or maybe crying because of the frequent rains we are experiencing. Times do really change fast as weather does. I remember last summer at this time of days, we are on the beach having some fun and enjoying the heat of the sun, but now, i only see dark clouds and not one rays of the sun is visible.  

I wonder if this is also experienced by the other half of the world or maybe there is no sun but clouds of impending rain.  Let us hope that Mr. Sun will be back again and we can after all enjoy the warmth of summer.

Kids will always be kids

My little girl is enjoying dressing herself of course, that's what kids mostly does.  I remember when I was still a little kid, i love to find different kids clothing and would like to try on for myself.  It's so nice to see yourself in the mirror with different attire, especially if there is a matching accessories. 

My grand mother is a tailor and you could imagine my tears when i learned that i have a new dress made by her. You must say I should be thankful but what makes me cry is that it matches her dress and i could not bare the thought of being teased again by my friends and neighbors.  

It would be nice if there is already online stores before that we can find and pick our favorite clothing for girls or even casual clothing for boys because I think that would really be great. Luckily we have many malls today on where we can find beautiful shirts and dress for kids or else my kid will eventually cry if she learns that i'll be making a terno checkered dress for me and her.

False Labor

I'm on my 37th week, waiting and getting ready for the baby to come out.  Last night was indeed a long night for me.  My back started to ache at around 8:00 p.m. and i'm having contractions.  It lasted for a while and then it will stop and then come back again and will stop again. I was patiently waiting for the signs to come for the impeding labor but no signs  came.  I was praying that it was just a false labor considering that my ob-gyne is still in vacation and will only be back this coming Sunday. My back aches for the whole night and even in the early morning.  I had a sleepless night, praying, talking with my unborn baby, and could not find the right position to lie. 

Even until now while I'm making this post, my back still aches but not as terrible as yesterday.  I got to sleep the whole day and thus help me to regain my strengths again.  I have things to take care of, i still have some personal things to manage and need to buy some grocery.  I have asked hubby to buy some foods in the market today so if there would be an emergency, their are foods left for Peachy.  Hope everything will be fine.

I always like to watch Baseball on cable and even though i'm not really familiar with the game, i took the guts to try this Baseball Stats Software.  At first, i was wondering how this really work. 

This software is used to records the stats of your team.  The software will allow the players to to capture game stats, generate game and season reports and export reports to PDF files.  It's very easy to use, all you need to have is the knowledge on baseball and if your having some problem, you can always look at the tutorial page on which it can guide you step by step procedure on how to use the sheets.  

I think this software is really helpful for those who love the baseball or softball. I will recommend this to a friend who used to play baseball and i know he will really love this one.

My prayers for a fellow blogger Mom

Because of the devastating earthquake, tsunami and nuclear plant explosion in Japan.  I know many fellow Filipino who have relatives in abroad are really worried.  We have fellow blogger moms who also lives in Japan and thankfully, we have heard from some of them, expressing their thoughts that they were just fine.  But up to this date, we still have not heard from Mommy Clarissa or many of us knows her as Mommy Clang! 

Although as Mommy Seiko commented on her post, Japan is well prepared with calamities like this one, we don't know if their place is far or near on the affected area but she says that Mommy Clang lives on Fukushima where the disaster happened.  As of this date, because of the total blackout, there is still no news about them.  

Let us all help in praying that her family is safe and wherever they were, we hope that they can get all the help they needed.  If there is someone reading this posts and know her location, just leave a comment.

8.9 earthquake in Japan - Tsunami Alert to nearby countries

Just this afternoon, 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit the northeastern cities of Japan, minutes after a gigantic tsunami hitting the northern part of the island.  We were watching the live coverage of CNN on the tsunami and it was a scary image. I could not find any words to describe what i have felt that time.  My whole body is so scared on what will happened when that scary image will happen to us.   I do hope that everything will be okay.  Let us all pray that nothing more serious will happen.

God Knows! I want to give up!

"You are what you think. So don't ever forget that you are a strong and beautiful woman"  -  I saw this on my  facebook wall just now but honestly, i don't feel this way! Sometimes you just don't know what to do and you just want to give up on things!  I used to have more courage and will before but now, i felt i'm just like a candle waiting for the last drop. My mind is saying i wanted to give up but my heart is aching. I'm so tired and I don't want to cry anymore.  It's just too much sometimes and if there is something i want to do is just to go away on my own, to get fresher air and unwind my mind and even sometimes i wished I have died that day, the day i have given up on my life.   If i would be giving the chance to do that, i  might have done that a long time ago,  when i felt that i don't deserve much in life. If there is something that keeps me going is the thought that i am a now a mother, that my children needs me more than i need myself. 

Maybe i should not be drowsing with this thoughts, my mind could not contemplate what my body wants to say! I'm tired, Yes, i am but that is not enough and that's not a reason if i may say! I hope my tears will eventually fade and i can smile again with happiness in my heart!

Travelling in cars

Traveling in a car is so much fun especially if you are with your family or friends.  Hiking and beach outing during summer is one of my favorite things to do, bringing some floor mats instead of a  regular hiking mats with foods, colas and finger foods are a hit when your on an outing. I remember my teen years wherein we used to go to nearby beaches, swimming until the sun goes down and  watching some birds and when evening comes, sitting on the beach with campfire. Resting your back after a day of fun-filled events, counting the stars or just looking at the bright new moon.  It was a beautiful memory worth cherishing for you and for the people you loved.  


It's more convenient to just ride on a rented van but bringing your own car is more favorable because you have your own time and you can maximize using your car accessories like the sounds and gadgets on your car. Having your own car while travelling may be something needs to be taken care of but it has a lots of advantage too in your part because you will not be needing to mind for the driver that you need to bring if your just riding a rented van.

Scream- Dare if you could!

We have just watch "Scream" from Star World and it brings back memories of my high school years when this movie was initially aired.  I consider "Scream" as one of the my favorite  horror movies aside of course from "I know what you did last Summer.  I can say that the acting of Neve Campbell who portrays Sidney Prescott in the movie was somewhat believable and she's still beautiful even she's afraid.  I can still remember how i scream loudly when i watched this movie or maybe because i was just a little younger then.  

Although there are many horror movies that  I have watched that gets me goose bumps and my heart pounds fast, especially Friday the 13th , Psyco , A night mare in Elm Street, Hell Raiser , Halloween and the most shocking of all is The Exorcist. I am not really a horror fanatic if i must say but i watched them time to time when I felt that I can survive the sleepless night that it can bring me.  (because i tend to dream about them)

I have seen that Scream would be having their 4th sequel which is scheduled to be released this coming April 11, 2011.  The original stars like Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courtney Cox would still be there with the new addition of Hayden Panettiere and Emma Roberts. I wonder if hubby would let me watch this or maybe we would just wait for the dvd release of the movie so we we can just watched this at home.

Ash Wednesday Observance

 Ash wednesday is not a holiday but a holy day of obligation for every Catholic.  It also marks  the first day of Lent wherein a catholic minister will put ashes in the sign of the cross to our  forehead as a sign of our mourning and repentance to our sins.  Lent is also a beginning of fasting when meat is not allowed to eat every friday. This is the time that we look back on our past and make repentance on whatever sins we have done.

Choosing the right web hosting for your blog

When I first decided to have my blog turned into a self-hosted blog, i never get the idea of finding the best web hosting services, all i thought back then is just to have it converted into my own domain so i can earn money from the net just like my other blogger friends. It's a very big leap for me, trying a new thing that is very far from my field. I never searched from the internet on what kind of service i would choose.  My only thought before is just to get it done as soon as possible and that's why i have this blog.  I never read any iPage review just like on the consumer rankings or any consumer review before choosing a web hosting.  So i end up registering this blog to blogger. I am not complaining or anything but if only i learned the benefits of a self-hosted blog before, i would not end up feeling sorry or anything. 

As much as i wanted to give up on this blog, my heart could not do so because of some personal and sentimental value although there are times that I am really having a hard time, asking why my site are not really indexed by google which in fact it should have been considering that I think they are the same company. I wonder if consumer ranking have low downtime not unlike the other server i have now.  But still, I am happy because i have learned my lesson well and I am able to find help from some other blogger friends too.

A new hair cut

I told hubby that before i go back to work again after my maternity leave, i will make some new changes in my hair and of course it could benefit my whole appearance. As much as i wanted to lose weight but I don't think i could do that for only two months.  I have gained so much weight and I really could not cope up with losing them in just a short period of time.  The changes I am talking about is my new hair-do.  I always want to have a new color but before he was telling me that i should not but i don't know what went to his mind and  let me change my hair color.  I hope he would not change his mind again on agreeing with me. LOL.

As we go marching by

It's already march and when the month of march came, it's means it's marching time again.  I do remember my graduation day, it's a very important day for every students because it is the realization of your dream. My officemate and I was just talking about her daughter graduating this coming March and she's glad because she does not need to buy a new dress for graduation because her daughter is only in kinder 2 not unlike the one graduating in high schools or in college which needed to buy a new shirt and a bow tie. But i think buying those new things can also benefit you especially if your a college graduate because you can still use this while finding for a job. How do you find this tie? I just love the color.

5 things i want to do after my baby is born!

Carrying a child for nine months is not a joke, it has ups and down and there were times that your on your dull moments.  There are lots of things i wanted to do but could not do because you need to take precautions and of course you need to be physically fit and healthy while your conceiving.  It's been a while since i wanted to run, ooh, I don't know but i just want to do it, my last run is when i'm still in college and I miss doing it. Maybe just to put my feet into working mode and a way of exercising too. 

I wanted to drink coffee but could not done so because it's harmful for the baby and I really missed drinking starbucks coffee, the last time i drink one of their coffee is when i visited Manila and I went to Star bucks with one of my online mommy friend. 

I wanted to change the color of my hair, ooh, I just wanted them to be different. A whim, no , i just wanted too and it's final! LOL.

I miss cooking, i just can't do it now because i'm really having trouble standing at a very long time and my feet easily gets tired.

and most of all, i missed embracing hubby because i felt that there is a barrier between us! LOL.  

but of course, i'm too excited on seeing my adorable angel.  I'm praying and hoping that everything goes fine and smoothly and will be in perfect health.

Beautiful Kitchen Faucets

We have been meaning to change our kitchen faucets to something more elegant and presentable and durable too considering that our last faucet was easily broken. We have found something nice but it does not really fits our kitchen faucet and it's quite expensive.  So, we decided to look for another one and Hubby had find a Danze faucets which is more beautiful and durable than the first faucet we have seen.

I think you need to consider the quality of the product when your buying because although you wanted to buy a little more cheaper one then they will be broken for a while or it might rust easily and you could not call it a wise buy.

Gold Finds

Honestly, I'm not really a fan of gold.  Why? Because gold prices is really out of my league.  Have you ever heard the word allergic to fancy? I have told my office-mate that i'm allergic to gold. Because i could not afford to buy one.  Maybe if someone would give me then i would gladly receive it with all my heart. 

I have heard that gold price at Paracale, famous spot of gold mines in Camarines Norte are getting higher too because of the low supply and high demands of gold and the gold spot or the holes where they are getting this gold are really hard to find now. 

I remember our old house helper who happens to live there and her husband is one of the people who spot gold mines.  She told me that it was also a very risky job because people had already died on the mines and many were injured because of some problems that unexpectedly occurs. The process of finding them is hard as well as the preparation of  making a single gold accessories. No wonder, why golds are precious and expensive.
