Trash to Cash

Tuesday, September 03, 2013

Have you ever heard the old saying that"there is "cash on trash", well it's true that even it's as good as thrash, for others it will always be a big help or can eventually earn them a lot of money.

Others may find it funny but I remember that when I was just a kid, I used to help a neighbor who has a junk shop to sort white bond paper from colored one. I didn't get any monetary compensation but i love helping during my idle time because I can get a chance to bring home school supplies and books which is far more than enough for me since it would be a great addition to my collection of different books.

It's nice to have a collection of something, other's collect books, music cd's, computer games, dvd movies, stuff animals , small things or accessories or even sometimes as huge as cars but sometimes, from that small collection, you wouldn't notice that it can grow overtime and with just spans of months, your small collection will be huge enough that will be considered clutter in your house especially if you only have small space to keep them.

If you believe that your collection is now cluttering your home, it's best to determine what you need to keep and what you need to give or better yet, dispose them by way of earning some cash which compensate even the small portion of the amount you originally bought the products.  Although garage sale is very common it's now old story and online shops that offers exchange of your old stuff which already considered trash in your home is the new alternative.

Think of opportunities that can help you when you decided to let go some of your stuff in your home which has less value from you now.  When you sell them, somebody who has a better need of that certain item can be beneficial rather than letting them stay in your cabinet or storage room.

  1. I do agree! There is cash in trash. A lot of people collect a lot of things that others may find it trash. Like metal scraps, or some really old vintage toys that were thrown away or donated and those awesome ones can earn you some cash. I like to collect vintage, especially clothing and I do sold some of them. Gotta recycle something that is still of good use. :)

  7. there really is cash in trash that is why people ought to be mindful before throwing anything in the trash bin. i used to sell recyclable items that i would otherwise throw away, like boxes/cartons, jars/bottles + plastic items. now i just give them away to our friendly garbage collectors so they can make little money out of them :)

  8. A few weeks ago a woman was featured for becoming a millionaire through trash. Of course, it wasn't just a mere garage sale that she did. She actually was very poor and just sold trash in a junk yard then eventually had a small junk yard herself. Through the years, her junkyard has become so big that she is now a millionaire because of it. Now that's turning trash to cash. :-)
